Conversion of a bungalow into a two-storey dwelling

Originally a bungalow, the clients wanted to improve and increase the size of the accommodation by adding an upper storey. This would allow the lower floor to be re-configured to take advantage of the views, with new bedrooms at the upper. The upper floor is clad in timber, with a slate roof more steeply sloping than the original concrete roof. The dining area in the kitchen has floor to ceiling glazing, and a glazed roof.
